Are you passionate about digging into large data sets to unearth insights that drive strategic decision-making? Our client—an established data analytics and strategy firm—seeks an experienced Data Scientist to join their dynamic team in Washington, DC. This role involves working onsite full-time, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and directly impacting critical projects spanning areas like healthcare, economics, and public policy.


Key Responsibilities


  • Data Analysis & Modeling: Mine, analyze, and visualize large datasets to identify trends and patterns that guide client-focused solutions.
  • Statistical & Machine Learning Techniques: Develop predictive models and advanced analytics solutions using Python, R, or similar tools.
  • Data Pipeline Management: Design and maintain efficient ETL processes to ensure data integrity and timely insights.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders to translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging data science tools and techniques to enhance team capabilities and streamline workflows.


Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor’s (Master’s preferred) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL, Python/R, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Analytical Skills: Proven track record of statistical modeling and machine learning to tackle real-world problems.
  • Communication: Ability to present complex analyses to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Professional Experience: 3+ years in a data-focused role, ideally with large-scale datasets and quantitative projects.
