Key Qualifications

Strong coding skills in Go, C/C++, Java, or Scala

Strong background in computer science: algorithms and data structures

Experience with backend development, code performance tuning and testing

Experience with cluster services (AWS S3 EC2 EKS / GCP / Kubernetes)

Experience with cluster setup / management, monitoring and logging is a plus

Excellent interpersonal skills; able to work independently as well as in a team

Experience with Information Retrieval, Large Scale Data-Mining and/or Machine Learning are a plus

Description

We design and build infrastructure to support features empowering billions of Siri users. Our team focuses on optimizing the end-to-end search stack. We are building groundbreaking technology to serve many domains at Apple, such as Web, Web Answers, Web Images, News, Maps, Knowledge. We work on areas such as high performance computing, performance tuning and testing, cloud cluster scaling and cost optimization, full stack end-to-end testing, onboarding new Apple domains, powering high QPS with efficient resource utilization. The team has a tight-knit collaboration with SW developers, QA and Ops.

Education & Experience

MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning or related field
