We are developing a world-class advertising business at Spotify, and your team will develop the process, systems, insights and products that drive data informed decision making to help us meet our goals.

What you’ll do

  • Analyze podcast streaming behavior with both ad hoc and ongoing reporting. 
  • Contribute to the development of Spotify’s podcast post campaign reporting and analysis.
  • Manage a small team of data scientists dedicated to uncovering new insights about podcast user behavior
  • Develop market facing insights to be featured in client research, industry presentations and written thought leadershipHelp set the future of podcast metrics and measurement
  • Partner with Spotify’s Partner Solutions, Sales and Product team to develop new ways to communicate podcast insights both internally and externally
  • Partner with the product insights team to develop new data pipelines and internal reporting frameworks
  • Develop analytical models in Python and R segment users and predict future behaviors
  • Develop automated podcast reporting for internal and external users
  • Own special initiatives such as development of new reporting frameworks and methodologies
  • Who you are

  • You have at least 6+ years of experience in a similar data analyst or data science role and a degree in science, computer science, statistics, economics, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline.
  • Direct people management experience
  • Proven track record of building and leading expert teams
  • You have a deep understanding of numbers, as well as a strong business sense and a desire to coach and train others
  • You have experience working with online behavior and advertising data
  • You have the technical competence to perform and coach team members in more advanced analytics:
  • Coding skills for analytics and data extraction (SQL, R, Python, Pandas)
  • Data visualization (such as Tableau, Qlik, D3, ggplot)
  • Experience performing analysis with large datasets
  • Experience building statistical models a plus
  • You are capable of tackling very loosely defined problems.
  • You are a communicative person that values building strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and have the ability to explain complex topics in simple terms.
