No Duties and ResponsibilitiesLoyola University Chicago (LUC), College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Statistics invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning in the fall 2020 semester. The department has several undergraduate degree programs in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, data science, as well as masters programs in mathematics and applied statistics. For more details about the department, please visit its website at http://www.luc.edu/math.The position involves teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in the department’s B.S. statistics program, B.S. data science program, and M.S. statistics program, engaging in a productive program of research, and performing service at the department, college, and university levels.QualificationsApplicants must have a Ph.D. at the time of appointment in statistics, data science, or a related discipline, and demonstrated experience in and commitment to high quality teaching at the university level. Experience teaching advanced statistics or data science classes is highly desirable, as is experience with programming languages relate to statistics such as R, SAS and/or Python. Experience with student mentoring is also highly desirable.
