We take our customer’s insights and expectations to heart at State Farm® In fact, Customer Experience is one of the cornerstones to our success as the industry leader, and why we are growing our Customer Experience & Insights Team in Bloomington, IL. This team is responsible for support services related to technology solutions that aid in the tracking, management and analysis of sentiment expressed by customers. In addition, this team is responsible for the delivery of solutions, service support and data integration of technology solutions to aid in the tracking, data management, presentation/reporting, along with trending and analysis of sentiment expressed by customers, employees, agents, and associates. This work ensures State Farm delivers a best-in-class response to customer feedback by leveraging data to guide our decision making.

Office Location: Bloomington, IL – Central Illinois is our founding location and home to our Corporate Headquarters.

At this time, most of our employees are working remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the safety of our employees is priority at State Farm. Candidates who are selected for this position will be trained remotely. Once State Farm determines it is safe for employees to return to our offices, candidates will be required to work in our Bloomington, IL office.

We Are Looking for Candidates With

  • Designing Big Data based solutions for data access and processing
  • Big Data Technologies like: CDH5.5, HIVE, IMPALA, Hbase, SPARK-Scala, KAFKA/Flume, Oozie, NoSQL, HUE
  • SQL, Shell Script, Python, JSON, Terraform
  • Data access methods from relational databases and Legacy systems using SQL
  • Experience with: 

  • API development using JAVA frameworks (Spring MVC) and hands on with Application Servers (WebSphere, Tomcat)
  • Web services (WSDL Soap, Restful) to access data from various source systems
  • Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) Experience with the core AWS services (S3, Lambda, EC2, Route 53, etc.)
  • Collecting and analyzing customer experience/sentiment data via surveys and other customer feedback tooling
  • Agile development practices including Scrum, Kanban, GIT and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
