The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct assists the campus-wide academic integrity process in expanding its role as a tool for integrative learning. The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct assists in the overall administration by adjudicating academic misconduct cases, designing, and training faculty on creating a culture of integrity and providing leadership in promoting the Carolinian Creed.

They oversee proactive and reactive programmatic efforts related to the Honor Code. Individually and with campus partners, the Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct designs and implements prevention efforts to reduce both high rate offenses and offenses in special populations. The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct works with faculty to assess and develop methods for promoting academic integrity in both physical and on-line classrooms. They assist with presentations in efforts to educate students about academic integrity and academic resources. Additionally, they assist with the recruitment and training of conduct administrators who adjudicate Honor Code cases.

The Coordinator for Academic Integrity and Student Conduct has responsibility for assessing educational outcomes for students and constituents involved in the academic integrity process as well as those who participate in trainings, educational programming, and hearing processes. The Coordinator also assists with tracking misconduct within the classroom and identifying and reporting trends.

The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct facilitates and leads the coordination of the Academic Integrity Workshop, oversees student’s progression and completion of the multi-week modules. They also provide support for other sanctions issued and tracks completion.

The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct, at various points in the semester, adjudicates Code of Conduct cases, tracks case completion and assists with prevention efforts related to the Code of Conduct.

The Coordinator of Academic Integrity and Student Conduct reports to the Director of Academic Integrity. They have independent discretion and decision-making authority in the resolution of Honor Code and Student Code of Conduct cases and their decisions or recommendations in this capacity are routinely implemented.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)

Masters degree in Student Services or related field and 1 year related experience or bachelor’s degree and 3 years related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in academic integrity and student conduct.
Experience with the Maxient electronic database.
Experience presenting to large groups.
Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with students, staff, and faculty.
Experience with developing and assessing learning outcomes.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Ability to identify problems and develop and implement realistic solutions.
Ability to analyze information and quantitative data, and apply that which is relevant in a productive manner.
Knowledge of current trends on topical issues regarding academic integrity and student conduct administration.
Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
