POSITION SUMMARY:

A Data Analyst in the Business Transformation team should feel comfortable working as a Business Analyst in general and as an expert Data Analyst. In a typical project the Data Analyst is expected to understand project goals and research the data sources to be used. This is typically a mix of modern and legacy systems. The Data Analyst would work on data discovery, wrangling, and preparation. From there either visualizations or reports would be created and validated with the project sponsor. All the implementation is done in an agile manner with short iterations and fast feed-back.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 Experience

5- 8 years of Data Analyst experience

Consulting experience

Insurance industry experience (preferred)

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required

Master level preferred from a recognized university

Fields such as Statistics, Computer Sciences, Engineering, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics or Accounting

Effective exploring large and/or complex data sources, with the ability to visualize the data journey towards delivering the solution

An ability to communicate effectively, respectfully, and with confidence with executives and staff in business and technology using the appropriate language

Meeting Facilitation, Requirements Elicitation, Documentation & Validation

Process Mapping

Technology and Programming

Very good at SQL in different variations

Data Visualization Tools, e.g. Tableau, MicroStrategy, Power BI, Excel

Programming languages, e.g. Python with statistical libraries or equivalent

Familiarity with cloud-based services; e.g. AWS, Snowflake

Agile frameworks and tools, e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Hybrid
