This position will primarily support the work of our statistician and data analyst senior. MICMT is funded by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) to support their Provider-Delivered Care Management program. MICMT supports the advancement of team-based care in physician organizations and their physician practices through sharing best practices, facilitating educational opportunities, providing tools and resources, assessing the impact of team-based care efforts on the quality of care provided, and providing project management support for BCBSM initiatives related to team-based care.Mission StatementMichigan Medicine improves the health of patients, populations and communities through excellence in education, patient care, community service, research and technology development, and through leadership activities in Michigan, nationally and internationally. Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.What Benefits can you Look Forward to?* Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day* Retirement Savings OpportunitiesResponsibilities** Ensure data quality through the following:* Test source data, program output, reports and tool functionality* Conduct analyses and summarize issues regarding data quality and usefulness for reporting* Create data mapping and criteria sets* Maintain routine reports, including establishment of validity of data via trouble-shooting and revisions* Provide end user support for MICMT data tools and reports through documentation and communication* Support the efforts of the evaluation team in measuring the impact of the work on the quality of care and utilization of relevant healthcare services. May include assisting with the following:* Facilitate data collection from physician organizations* Compile and organize data from other relevant data sources* Coordinate the dissemination of data reporting and other relevant resources via the MICMT website taking into consideration the target users and stakeholders* Convene and facilitate meetings to address data problems, solutions, and plan enhancements.* Collaborate with data partners (e.g. Michigan Data Collaborative) on data assessment and analysis efforts* Support the planning for and delivery of evaluation and outcomes data at BCBSM and physician organization meetings* Track and measure care team member education and outreach to physician organizations and their practices* Identify opportunities for enhanced data presentation and visualization* Other projects as assignedRequired Qualifications** Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (health sciences, life sciences, information sciences) or equivalent relevant experience* Experience in analyzing and interpreting processes and/or outcomes* Experience with statistical software such as Stata, SAS, SPSS or R and ability to run descriptive statistics* Experience with data collection tools, REDCap strongly preferred* Healthcare experience desired* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills* Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word* Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively as a member of a team* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same timeBackground ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
