Job Description – Data Analyst, Senior (3127883)Job Description Data Analyst, Senior – (3127883)Description Senior Data Analyst Develop and manage the application, conduct maintenance and upgrades, and interact daily with Ragon Institutes investigators to facilitate access to clinical and research data, including ongoing training of faculty and department personnel in the utilization of the application. Key areas of responsibility include strategy, to develop and execute the strategic plan for the database team and to work directly with the faculty and leadership to identify, define, and prioritize key initiatives which relate directly to the growth of the database infrastructure/team and the ongoing major projects to further the research studies and discoveries. Serve as an advisor and thought partner to the Institutes director setting goals and objectives to aid in the expansion of the database team as it pertains to talent management, IT software capabilities, and other needed resources. Lead on special projects given the projected growth of the Institute. Lead the migration effort of current CIDB solution from obsolete technology to newer technology. Have full responsibility to manage and maintain the Ragon-managed website for all faculty across the Institute. Duties include management of operations, including development and management of the database and application (performing maintenance, systems analysis, and software design to ensure the rapid development of a robust, accessible, and secure application mid database, etc.), management of the team of application and database developers and data entry personnel. Represent the Ragon Institute with outside vendors to develop a comprehensive and flexible foundation for a complex application and database infrastructure. Position located in Cambridge, MA. Qualifications Requirements include a Masters degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field and two years of work experience in the job offered or related field of application and database development.Must have at least two years experience with the following: application and database development; InterSystems Cache technologies or a similar database; developing database driven Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using Adobe Flex development platform or a similar UI framework; writing .Net web services using C# and WCF; working with complex database concepts and employing different database design techniques; client/server and internet systems architecture; SQL and object database methodologies; project management experience and delivering solutions; building applications such as ASP.NET Web and .NET; installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft IIS web server and SQL Server; version control software such as GIT, TFS or SVN; and working on a project which requires migrating outdated application into modern software solution using technologies such as Angular, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript, and HTML.
