And so does yours.The Data Engineer will have a key role in the organizations data management and governance initiatives. This position will lead the implementation and maintenance of a data catalog and drive data quality across the organization by automating data validation rules and alerting protocols.Essential Functions/Job Duties & Responsibilities:+ Continually add to the data catalog by ingestion of data from a wide variety of data sources, including relational databases, flat files, unstructured data, NoSQL data, ETL repositories, and reporting repositories.+ Configure data sources, data domains, and their relationships.+ Work with application owners and teams to understand and incorporate new data sources.+ Meet data definition, data quality, data profiling, and data lineage expectations.+ Meet data privacy requirements by proper data classification and remediation of data privacy use cases+ Evaluate data assets for accuracy and quality+ Develop and utilize tools to monitor and ensure data quality.+ Detect quality issues, report them and track them to resolution.+ Identify and implement process improvements in relation to master data processes.+ Recommend ways to strengthen data integrity, quality and availability across the enterprise.+ Create and communicate best practices, methods, standards, and processes to share with the team.Education:Bachelors Degree (B.S. or B.A.) required, preferably in a technical or business fieldExperience:+ Minimum 5 years of data analysis, development and testing+ Minimum 5 years of data integration experience+ Minimum 5 years of business analysis experience+ Minimum 5 years of experience with MS SQL Server tools including T-SQL, security, and database administration+ At least 3 years of experience with data catalog systems, technologies, and workflows. Broad technical skills necessary, with a solid understanding of data systems and infrastructure.+ Experience with Agile software development methodologies and processes preferredSkills & Abilities (i.e. technical, organizations, knowledge, etc.):+ Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.+ Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.+ Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines.+ Strong SQL and data analysis skills to query a wide variety of data sources. Ability to analyze data models, data taxonomy, and deep appreciation of data standards and quality.+ Previous hands-on experience with ETL, data profiling, and data lineage tools.+ Solid understanding of dependent web, data warehouse and database technologies.+ Ability to work with cross functional teams, perform root cause analysis and resolve complex issues.+ Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas concisely and clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences+ Detail oriented and consistency in producing accurate results.+ Ability to evaluate and interpret business requirements.We at Learning Care Group know our best asset is our people!
