Job Overview

Ameriprise Financial, Inc. seeks a Data Engineer Manager in Minneapolis, MN to manage and operationalize the AWM data lake, design appropriate processes to oversee data lake expansion efforts to a wide range of users and outline appropriate data management and data use guidelines, perform systems management and integration functions. Work in close partnership with Data Enablement Technology Team to develop cloud-enabled campaigns, list execution, model scoring and business intelligence capabilities. Provide input on tool and technology selection and shares evolving best practices. Partner with business users/advanced analytics teams to provide technical insight and input on how to best acquire, process, store and manage data to ensure adherence to enterprise data governance standards. Design and implement processes in adherence to proprietary Ameriprise Financial guidelines and policies to manage Ameriprise data. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, plus 5 years of progressively responsible experience in data management, data process, data testing, data governance and analysis. 5 years of experience required with cloud enabled analytical platforms, policies and audit requirements. 5 years of experience with cloud solutions, such as AWS or Microsoft Azure, and programming experience with at least 2 years of experience in R or Python. 5 years of data quality and automated testing experience, including data visualization leveraging tools, such as PowerBi or Tableau. 3 years of experience with AGILE methodology to enhance workflow and the use of JIRA for documentation of tasks and artifacts.
