Data Engineers – Multiple Positions Location Richmond, VA Duration 12 months with possible contract to hire Description Big Data Engineer – Experience with building and maintaining Big Data and Fast Data applications using Open source software like Spark and Kafka – Experience with developing and deploying applications on Cloud, preferably on Amazon Web Services (AWS) – Understanding of Object-Oriented and Functional programming concepts using languages like Java and Scala – Experience with at least one NoSQL database, like MongoDB or Cassandra – Understanding of Test Driven Development concepts and supportive tools like Cucumber – Experience with Build tools like Hudson and Jenkins – Familiarity with Configuration management tools like Ansible or Chef – Familiarity with CI tools like Jenkins or Circle CI – Familiarity with Application Container concepts using tools like Docker – Familiarity with Version control tools, preferably Git and GitHub
