Job Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in search of a Data Scientist in Atlanta, GA. Duties/Project Overview: They will be automating data flow from NNDSS to SET-NET; The CDC is conducting research into new health threats, such as COVID-19, on pregnant women and their babies by collecting data from pregnancy through childhood IT strategy work to conceptualize the data process and pipeline for our SET-NET surveillance efforts Design and start the implementation of the NNDSS (national notifiable disease surveillance system) linkage with SET-NET surveillance system to link case reports on exposures to COVID among pregnant women Technical expertise in Python/PySpark to help automate processes with using DCIPHER Database/MS Access expert who can work alongside someone to help with a data review tool as well as the final analytic database to house SET-NET data Working side by side with someone to automate data coming from public health agencies mostly at the State level Primarily working with SQL, MS Access, and Oracle Length of project: Not a concrete timeline Plan for 13 weeks Completed sometime during Q4 Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
