This position is a hybrid opportunity of Python programming combined with Data Science responsibilities.
What you will be doing on the Data Science side
Develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software. Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets. Visualize, interpret, and report data findings. May create dynamic data reports.
Specifically, you will work with Machine Learning and Neural Network models to understand data such as text, audio, and images. You will also build post-processing models to correct Machine Learning output.
What you will be doing on the Python programming side
Create, modify, and test the code and scripts that allow computer applications to run. Work from specifications drawn up by software and web developers or other individuals. May develop and write computer programs to store, locate, and retrieve specific documents, data, and information.
More specifically, you will implement algorithms for graph analysis with python code to perform analyses in an automated system.
Present results to customer
Develop code examples
Commit code to source control
Author software to solve data science problems in aviation
Collaborate with engineering team to develop solutions
Write python code to perform analyses in an automated system
Required and/or Preferred Qualifications (education, experience, licenses, skills)
MUST BE A US CITIZEN
Location: Akron Ohio – working remotely for now and then when Covid restrictions lift a couple times a week working remotely and a couple times a week working at the Akron office) At this time we are only considering candidates from the Akron/Canton/Cleveland area.
Proficiency with Python 3 development
Experience visualizing and effectively communicating analysis results
Proficiency with Machine Learning ops (deploying training scripts, containerization, preferably Docker)
Experience with a variety of data management tools (graph databases, HDF5, Parquet, etc.)
Minimum: Bachelor’s in Data Science or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist with corresponding experience with at least 2 years of experience in graph mining and trending.
