We are seeking an experienced analytics professional to join our Global Product Analytics Team, supporting a brand portfolio that includes some of the world’s leading online travel brands. This will be a mid-level individual contributor role partnering with our Lodging Product & Technology Leadership team alongside working closely with other business performance teams. This role will be working with these partners to setup metrics and frameworks to lead our diverse lodging marketplace, and by identifying and evaluating the highest value opportunities to contribute to our bottom line. This will involve a broad spectrum of analytics support including investigative analyses, business modeling, and working with product, tech and data engineers to build data pipelines and tracking across Expedia, Vrbo & If you are a self-starter and have shown success in using analytics to drive the innovation and user engagement of a product, this position is for you.

What you’ll do:

  • Own metrics framework development, build accurate and easy to consume dashboards/reports for key metrics, collaborate with product team in goal setting, product performance review and strategy planning

  • Utilising anomaly detection techniques to quickly identify areas of performance concern and proposing analyses and/or corrective actions

  • Through your expertise in data mining and analysis, apply and implement hypotheses and recommendations of things we should change, leading to experiments and ultimately improve operations

  • Prioritize asks based on the highest potential benefit, and actively drive initiatives from there.

  • Work with the broader Analytics Platform team in an Agile model to build self-service data products that will allow the business to access accurate information directly and easily

  • Participate in weekly stakeholder meetings to ensure insight-based decision-making

  • Who you are:

  • 4+ years of work experience doing quantitative analysis to tackle business problems

  • A Bachelor’s degree in at least one science, technology, engineering or mathematics field

  • Possessing strong analytical skills, including the ability to break down business scenarios into constituent parameters

  • Experience with large data sets and proficient in SQL or other programming languages (R, Python)

  • Experience communicating to senior leadership/management

  • Excellent communicator to tell stories with data

  • Understanding of statistics and hypothesis testing (ex. Confidence Interval, Regressions, Time Series, Clustering, Factor Analysis)

  • Experience applying visualization tools such as building Tableau reports

  • Experience in Adobe Analytics or Google Analytics is a plus

  • Curiosity and passion for making an impact along with strong attention to detail
