Description Job Description Leidos is seeking a Data Scientist who wants to work on a new agile DevSecOp project in an IC DoD customer space. This role uses Data Science and engineering techniques to satisfy customer requirements. This role evaluates and uses algorithms for Natural Language Process (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). This role uses large data sets to perform entity resolution and extraction for work products and creates models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. This role collaborates across a team of Data Scientists, Data Administrators, and Data Engineers to produce work products. Serves in a position of leadership over critical objectives where decision making is of utmost concern to the outcome. Primary Responsibilities Use Data Science and engineering techniques to satisfy data requirements for an IC DoD customer. Evaluate and use algorithms for Natural Language Process (NLP), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Machine Learning (ML). Use large data sets to perform entity resolution and extraction for data work products and create models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. Design and develop methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze structured and unstructured, diverse sources including big data sources. Develop and use advanced software programs, algorithms, query techniques, model complex business problems, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate data sets. Analyze requirements and evaluate technologies for data science capabilities including NLP, ML, predictive modeling, statistical analysis and hypothesis testing. Collaborate across a team of Data Scientists, Data Administrators, and Data Engineers to produce work products. Work with cross-discipline teams to ensure connectivity between various data sources and business problems. Identify meaningful insights and interpret and communicate findings and recommendations across teams and to senior management. Develop algorithms and analytical techniques to improve business performance. Maintain awareness of emerging analytics and big-data technologies. Negotiate complex scenarios and challenges and devise courses of action to resolve situations with predictable outcomes. Basic Qualifications Possess expert data science knowledge in a technical field bolstered with significant experience and advanced education and training may be recognized within the technical community as a leader in hisher field. Experience within hisher field includes extensive accomplishments, recognition by peers, training, andor certifications directly related to the discipline. Possess the ability to negotiate complex scenarios and challenges and devise courses of action to resolve situations with predictable outcomes. Has Data Science and expert technical knowledge including Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), predictive modeling, statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, emerging analytics, and big-data technologies. Possess the ability to negotiate complex scenarios and challenges and devise courses of action to resolve situations with predictable outcomes. Have ability to analyze requirements and evaluate technologies for data science capabilities. Have experience in leadership positions over critical objectives where decision making is of utmost concern to the outcome. Have experience working with cross-discipline teams, Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and Data Administrators to produce quality data for customers. Has ability to evaluate work of others. Have experience mentoring, supervising, and managing teams. The candidate must have a minimum of a Master’s degree with 15-20 years of experience or a Doctorate with 13-16 years of experience.
