Job Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Data Scientist in Atlanta, GA. Position Purpose A Data Scientist leverages their technical abilities to translate complex analytics into consumable insights. Data Scientists are responsible for proposing, analyzing, and then sharing insights gleaned from data. Develops predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions (will be building some models). The candidate utilizes industry-leading standards for working with very large datasets to extract meaningful business information using statistics, machine learning, and heuristics. Specific to the Pricing group, the Data Scientist will utilize their technical expertise to uncover actionable performance improvement opportunities. Job Responsibilities Work with Merchants, Pricing and other business facing associates to uncover sales and profitability opportunities Lead internal and external data specialists to deliver advanced analytics solutions Provide thought leadership and establish a technical strategy and roadmap for advanced analytics within the Pricing team Develop predictive systems and algorithms for identifying trends and driving business solutions Utilize industry-leading standards for working with very large datasets to extract meaningful business information using statistics, machine learning, and heuristics REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neutral networks, etc.) and their real-world advantagesdrawbacks Experienced in Python, R and SQL Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications Advanced knowledge and experience visualizingpresenting data for stakeholders using Tableau or other similar applications Ability to assimilate extensive amounts of data to see the big picture and understand all of the detail supporting the analysis Solid organizational skills, analytical ability to work with processes, numbers, and statistics Effective written and verbal communication skills Kforce is an Equal OpportunityAffirmative Action Employer.
