Inspired by their forward-thinking clientele, our banking client is transforming the face of banking. Our client has turned to SolomonEdwards for support in identifying a Project Financial Data Analyst and Coordination, Senior Consultant to provide financial and project coordination support to Project Managers serving within a Project Delivery Organization.Logistics: Due to current COVID-19 conditions the engagement will initially start remotely. Interested candidates must be open to working from home, and when appropriate and deemed safe, onsite.Job Requirements:Responsibilities:Project Financial Management and Analysis:• Review and analyze project financial reporting, including project actuals to the forecasted project budget, a thorough understanding of capitalizing versus expenses, forecast versus actuals, and accruals.• Perform project financial data analysis, drill-down of data to create insights, and research to clarify variances; ensuring Project Managers grasp relevant financial related data.• Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills while reviewing triggers, identifying data trends, and quickly recognizing red flags.Data Management and Reporting:• Review and perform raw data mapping and data lineage activities, document information flows, proactively identify reporting that will be needed for future use and ensure captured data and/or reporting can be easily understood and accessible.• Recommend and develop data capturing and framework process improvements that will provide structured forms of data and/or reporting.• Analyze historical data, perform deep dive on the outcome to close any identified gaps.Resource Tracking and Reporting:• Develop and maintain analysis reports that will be utilized to track Project Resources’ (roll-off dates, extensions, and onboarding/offboarding) current and future status, forecast staffing needs, and analyze utilization.• Manage conflict resolution by presenting potential solutions to Project Resource and escalate, as necessary.Project Coordination and Collaboration:• Track, research, and supply project details to the assigned project team, and proactively identifying future needs.• Schedule and drive project meetings, document meeting minutes, and provide additional administrative functions as needed.Qualifications:• Fortune 500 Industry experience, serving within a fast-paced, and/or unstructured environment.• Experience in technology and/or startup environments within the banking and/or financial services sector.• Prior Financial Analysis, Project Analysis, and/or Project Coordination combined experience, including reviewing and analyzing project actuals to forecasted project budgets, identifying data trends, and providing support to Project Managers.• Previous experience working within an Agile environment is highly preferred, and knowledge of general project management methodologies is required.• Systems: Advanced Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills.• Strong technical, financial, and business communication (verbal and written) skills.• Highly detailed oriented, ability to balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines, solid organizational, and analytical skills with extensive problem-solving abilities.• Self-driven, highly motivated, familiar working effectively independently and collaboratively across various business units.• Ability to analyze issues and situations systematically and make sound recommendations.SolomonEdwards an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
