As Principle Data Engineer, you will work with a variety of talented Nike teammates and be a driving force for building first-class solutions for Enterprise Data and Analytics working on development projects related to consumer data. The ideal candidate will have programming experience, comfortable with ambiguity and will enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment.What will you work on:In this role, you will work on consumer data with other data engineers, product owners, business analysts, architects and stake holders in other geographies. Your work will be highly impactful. You will collaborate with engineering, product management and business partner teams on daily basis to help enable data strategy efforts with our partner teams in Greater China.Responsibilities:* Design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and access patterns related to consumer data.* Research, evaluate and utilize new technologies/tools/frameworks centered around high-volume data processing.* Design and implement distributed data processing pipelines using tools and languages prevalent in the big data ecosystem* Drive a culture of collaborative reviews of designs, code and test plans* Work with architecture engineering leads to ensure quality solutions are implemented and engineering standard methodologies adhered to* Utilize and advance continuous integration and deployment frameworks* Seek complex data issues and perform root cause analysis* Work across teams to resolve operational & performance issues* Identify and remove technical bottlenecks for your engineering squad
