The Research Data Analyst will be hired into the , within the Institute for Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM) at Northwestern University.
This person will work with an NIH funded team on topics broadly related to bleeding into the brain (intracranial hemorrhage), the most deadly form of stroke. Major research questions include deep learning to automatically extract information (e.g., predicting which patients will get worse or respond to specific treatments), predict complications (e.g., predicting seizures), and improving analytic models. Collaborating investigators include informaticists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, hematologists, and outcomes scientists. This person will work semi-independently to obtain and clean data, perform analyses, and assist in the writing of results. There are opportunities to participate in authorship of manuscripts, new grant applications, and learn new skills.
Provides expertise in data management, quality assurance, analysis and reporting. Establishes data accuracy and validity derived from a variety of systems. Performs data analysis using statistical techniques. Researches and analyzes information using multiple databases and creates reports of data and results. Assists in the preparation and delivery of decision support reports to both internal and external customers.
