This person will provide Data Analysis and Evaluation Support byconducting data analysis and findings summaries for the HAI PreventionImplementation activity. The ScientificData Analyst II will maintain and update technical content of protocols andevaluate results of data analysis and interpret conclusions. Duties andResponsibilities: Providedata analysis and findings summaries for the HAI Prevention Implementationactivity, working with and assisting a multidisciplinary team ofepidemiologists, statisticians, health educators, medical officers, behavioralscientists, and subject matter experts in understanding data trends andproviding recommendations toward improving data quality and analysis. Maintainand update technical content of protocols, instructions, and other documentsfor HAI prevention implementation projects including but not limited tomeasurement instruments, implementation guidance, and Human Subjects/IRBmaterials. Performdata entry, cleaning, and analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) frommultiple data sources including but not limited to surveys, focusgroups/interviews, and surveillance systems. Evaluateresults of data analyses and interpret conclusions, applying knowledge andprinciples of epidemiology/biostatistics as appropriate and utilizing advancedstatistical methods such as longitudinal and time-series analyses. Providerecommendations for using data for action through the use of critical thinking,problem solving, and decision-making as it relates to data interpretation andevaluation. Developand prepare data summaries, feedback reports, and presentations for partners. Conferwith and represent the assigned program and division in meetings with officeswithin CDC, grantees, and external partners to foster collaborative workingrelationships to the benefit of the program. Four (4) or more years of relevant,direct comparable or similar work experienceCompleted Bachelor’s Degree inrelevant field or equivalent work experience to substitute. Knowledge, Skillsand Abilities: Professional working knowledgewithin SharePoint Professional interpersonal and computer skills, to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as SharePoint. Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments with strict deadlines and ability to coordinate efforts among many offices. Excellent interpersonal andcommunication skills (both oral and written).
