**Description:****Providence St. Joseph Health** **is calling a** **Senior Clinical Data Analyst PSJH** **to our location in Portland, OR,** **or in any of our Providence state locations: WA, CA, MT, AK, NM, TX.**We are seeking a Senior Clinical Data Analyst to work independently with all levels of Core Leaders (System, Region, Service Area and Ministry) utilizing his/her advanced subject matter expertise and analytical skills to lead teams, design advance data sources, develop quality assurance processes, test multiple hypotheses, design challenging visualizations, use advanced contemporary data science techniques, provide ongoing training and facilitate multiple projects.Areas of particular focus include the measurement of medication safety, quality, and regulatory compliance for PSJH pharmacy services.This position ensures that all work produced by the Medication Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance Pharmacy team is conducted with thoughtful analytical discipline, and will support other members of the team through experience with computational methods.The audience for this position’s work is the entire Providence St. Joseph Health system, from members of the Board of Directors to front line caregivers.**In this position you will have the following responsibilities:**+ Clinical Data Expertise: Advanced Subject Matter Expert and analytic resource in a number of clinical areas applying knowledge of definitions and identifying best sources of data.+ Data Acquisition: Is an advanced user of graphical user interface-based programs for very complex data acquisition projects.+ Data Architecture: Designs advanced data sources, views and summaries and creates functional data architecture. (e.g., from sources such as Datix)+ Data Validation / Accuracy: Develops quality assurance processes; performs data validation; critically evaluates the output of reports to produce reports with a high degree of accuracy.+ Reporting / Analysis: Works with clients to develop and iteratively test multiple hypotheses around complex questions; provide strong written summaries of findings; creates presentations that succinctly address and anticipates the questions of the audience.+ Display / Visualization: Performs visualization design; completes challenging visualization projects independently; utilizes good sensibility in visual storytelling+ Mentorship/Training: Provides ongoing analytic and general training to caregivers outside Clinical Analytics and provides regular training and mentorship for Clinical Analytics colleagues+ Statistics / Data Science: Uses advanced contemporary data science techniques and/or biostatistics to complete routine and complex projects with the help of a mentor+ Program / Project Facilitation: Facilitates multiple projects with proven results+ Teamwork: Partners with other clinical analysts (e.g., Healthcare Intelligence) to develop reports that provide meaningful medication safety, quality, and regulatory compliance tools for PSJH pharmacy.**Qualifications:****Required qualifications for this position include:**+ Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.+ 7 years of relevant data analysis; Experience with database query and analysis languages (e.g. SQL, R, SAS, Python) and data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3).+ Ability to interpret complex statistical data.+ Ability to effectively build relationships with customers, executive management, and other stakeholders through positive interaction and problem identification and resolution.+ Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.+ Demonstrated ability to define, develop, and analyze performance measures and metrics.+ Demonstrated project management skills.**Preferred qualifications for this position include:**+ Master’s Degree or equivalent of MA/MS degree in Health Information Management, Computer Science, Mathematics, business administration, healthcare or a related clinical or analytic discipline.+ Certified Pharmacy Technician+ Experience in biomedical setting.+ 1 year certification in an IT discipline, application, or tool.**About the department you will serve.**Providence Shared Services provides a variety of functional and system support services for our Providence family of organizations across Alaska, California, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas and Washington.
