Company Info

Are you an experienced Product Manager with a passion for technology at the cutting edge? Have you been involved in bringing new emerging technologies to market from concept to launch? And are you up for jumping into a brand new role in a pioneering, globally scaling business at the forefront of a brand new space? If this sounds like you, we have an out of the ordinary new role to invite you to look at….
The company: The pioneer, innovator and now market leader of a first generation of general Artificial Intelligence, making a gamechanging impact on the business environment. Their scalable and robust execution platform using best-of-breed AI and cognitive technologies has emerged as the leader in the new space they have created. On behalf of the company, we are necessarily circumspect here in this description, but would invite you to reach out for an informal discussion to learn more.
The culture: In a new industry, there are a lot of ‘firsts’ every day and the culture here is based on innovation, collaboration, dedication and ambition. A team of flexible self-starters, this business delivers a groundbreaking technology of the future, knowing that ‘sharing knowledge is power’. Putting the best people together and empowering them to create, deliver and excel, the company strives to hire and develop the best, celebrating diversity of thought, interest, perspectives and ideas.
The opportunity: The Product Management team is growing and evolving to meet the increasing needs of this business and the market, with the product portfolio increasing and specialisms being established. We are now seeking an experienced and professional Product Manager to lead the Emerging Technology division. As part of a larger team of Product Managers looking after a suite of products, you will work alongside your counterparts to be the voice of the market, and of the customer, and will guide exciting new product incubation and research initiatives to align to the company vision and direction.
Who are you? This role is ideal for a driven and experienced product manager with experience of working with new innovations, perhaps in AI and ML, who has a passion for understanding the market, collating market problems and opportunities and driving product teams to deliver against them. Your role will focus primarily on the future direction of the product portfolio and will have a focus on implementation of AI and new concepts, so you will also have a passion for technology and are likely to be someone who enjoys being at the cutting edge. Ideally, you will have an affinity to proven product management methodologies, such as Pragmatic Marketing or QfD.
You will have excellent communication skills and be robustly skilled selecting and implementing mechanisms to collate, understand, and prioritise market problems in line with business imperatives. As a strategist, you will shape and then translate the company’s high-level vision and goals into actionable tasks. You will set product strategy, prioritise features, build consensus, and coordinate product schedules with the design and engineering teams to deliver excellent products. You will be proficient at leading roadmap negotiations; and representing your company’s interests in legal discussions.
In summary, you are an expert at making decisions with imperfect information; you know how to lead without authority; you are comfortable managing chaos, ambiguity and complexity. You possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy that includes a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality.
Your Experience: You will be an experienced product manager who has worked within, and ideally shaped, an effective product management team. You will have strong, demonstrable experience of understanding and making sense of a target market from a range of sources and converting it into a well-considered roadmap.
Communication is key – you will have a proven track record of communicating effectively, under pressure with a range of audience types. You will work with product marketing and marketing communications to help define the go-to-market strategy by providing key product and market insights. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for the products.
You will have prior experience of utilising Agile frameworks (particularly Scrum) in a product development context and will have a strong working knowledge of common technical enterprise software principles and concepts.
