OverviewThe Data Analyst – Digital role provides a fantastic opportunity to work with a fast-paced and highly functioning Digital Marketing team. This role is responsible for modeling complex Industry problems, discovering Industry insights and identifying opportunities through the use of statistical, algorithmic, mining and visualization techniques. This role is also proficient at integrating and preparing large, varied datasets, architecting specialized database and computing environments, that will integrate with the Adobe Experience Cloud (e.g. Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, Audience Manager etc.) focusing in areas of customer segmentation and analytics. Data Analyst work closely with SMEs, data stewards, project/scrum teams, and other IT teams to turn data into critical information.They will need to validate their findings using an experimental and iterative approach. Also, the Data Analyst will need to be able to present their findings by exposing their assumptions and validation work in a way that can be easily understood using strong written and communication skills. These professionals will need a combination of business focus, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and programming knowledge to be able to quickly cycle hypothesis validation.ResponsibilitiesJOB DUTIES* Leads discovery processes with GMF stakeholders to identify the business requirements and the expected outcome* Models and frames business scenarios that are meaningful and which impact on critical business processes and/or decisions* Works with and alongside business SMEs by suggesting other products of interest* Collaborates with Institute subject matter experts to select the relevant sources of information* Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes* Makes strategic recommendations on data collection, integration and retention requirements incorporating business requirements and knowledge of best practices* Develops innovative and effective approaches to solve client’s analytics problems and communicates results and methodologies* Works in iterative processes with the client and validates findings* Develops experimental design approaches to validate finding or test hypotheses* Validates analysis using scenario modeling* Identifies/creates the appropriate algorithm to discover patterns* Assesses, with the business, opportunities to enhance the qualification and assurance of the information to strengthen the use case* Defines the validity of the information, how long the information is meaningful, and what other information it is related to* Partners with the data SMEs in continuous improvement processes impacting data quality in the context of the specific use case* Recommends ongoing improvements to methods and algorithms that lead to findings, including new information* Educates the organization both from IT and the business perspectives on new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and validation of results* Helps the organization understand the principles and the math behind the process to drive organizational buy-in* Contributes business metrics to show performance contribution over iterations* Contributes to on-going reporting metrics and data usage patterns to provide feedback to Marketing Management* Leads the design and deployment of enhancements and fixes to systems as needed* Interface with customers to provide issue resolution for products and processes* Maintain technical and functional awareness and competence of supported business applications, and organizational and industry technology standards* May participate in an on-call rotation that requires after-hours and weekend support for production outages and issues* Perform other duties as assigned* Conform with all company policies and proceduresQualificationsKnowledge* Data Strategies including customer segmentation, market segmentation* Marketing Campaign architecture* Marketing Analytics* Data Modeling/Engineering best practices* Delivery Methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, etc.* Thorough working knowledge of information systems and operations* Functional knowledge of the business area or areas assigned to them* Full technical knowledge of systems analysis techniques* Preferred Marketing/CRM platform(s) knowledge such as Adobe Experience Cloud and Google Marketing SuiteSkill* Analysis and reporting using knowledge in one or more of the following frameworks: SQL Server, SAS, or Power-BI* Excellent analytical, organizational, problem solving and follow-up skills with the ability to meet time sensitive deadlines* Must be a self-starter and able to manage the investigations function with minimal supervision* Proficiency with Microsoft Office products* Ability to interact with staff at all levels* Ability to make sound decisions and exercise good judgment* Promote a cooperative and productive team environment* Strong communication and interpersonal skillsEducation* Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics or computer science or related fieldExperience* 5-7 years of relevant quantitative and qualitative research, analytics experience and SQL experience preferred* Knowledge in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithmsWorking Conditions* Normal office environment subject to stressful situations* Work is conducted in a professional office environment subject to stressful situations arising from meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities* Evening and weekend work as required* Some travel to company and vendor sites may be required, including outside the United States* A passport is recommended#DICE#LI-KD2
