Job Overview

DESCRIPTION

Are you a smart, curious person with experience in data science?
We are looking for creative, technical data scientists to help build the future of cloud computing. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of one or more quantitative fields, experience working with ambiguous problems, and strong communication skills. We want data scientists to collaborate with engineers, product management and other leaders in order to solve complex problems at a uniquely large scale.

Come and build the future with us as we change the way customers run containers on AWS.
AWS customers are running more containers than ever, for more types of applications and workloads than ever. Core container technologies like AWS Fargate and Amazon ECR are enabling customers to do things they didn’t think were possible. On the container services science team, you will be helping build the future of containers in the cloud.

Building a High-Performing & Inclusive Team Culture
You should be passionate about working with an innovative team that welcomes, celebrates, and leverages a diverse set of backgrounds and skillsets to deliver results. Driving results is your primary responsibility, and doing so in a way that builds on our inclusive culture is key to our long term success.

Work/Life Balance
Our team also puts a high value on work-life balance. Striking a healthy balance between your personal and professional life is crucial to your happiness and success here, which is why we aren’t focused on how many hours you spend at work or online. Instead, we’re happy to offer a flexible schedule so you can have a more productive and well-balanced life—both in and outside of work.

Energizing and Interesting Technical Problems
You will work in partnership with engineers on the team to build and operate large scale systems that deploy and manage container applications at massive scale. You’ll be working to provide solutions to both internal and external customers and engage deeply with other teams within container services (Fargate, ECR, ECS, EKS) and many other services. It’s humbling and energizing to provide containers solutions to customers at AWS scale.

Mentorship & Career Growth
We’re committed to the growth and development of every member of the container services team, and that includes our engineers. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the culture and direction of the entire containers org and deliver initiatives that will improve the life of all of our teams.
