The mission of the Platform AI team within the Business Application Group’s Biz 360 team is to enable and extend signals that enrich user data with insights which aim to inform business professionals to take actions based on what consumers say, seek, and feel about brands and products. To achieve this, we are building scalable products which leverage many other Azure technologies, including Data Lake Analytics and Data Factory pipelines, Cosmos and SQL databases, and C#/.Net microservices hosted on Azure App Services, Azure functions and Azure Kubernetes Services. We collaborate with and deliver rich APIs and ML models to our sister teams.
Job responsibilities: We are looking for a smart, highly motivated, and innovative senior software engineer to join at the ground floor of this well-resourced start-up effort, to help us build a strong enterprise business. We seek engineers who are passionate about building complete, production-quality software services, with a scalable and sustainable architecture and implementation, with high performance over large data sets, and with low latency and high availability. We want a customer-focused engineer motivated to build great enterprise products who can partner with other product teams and engineers to implement backend services and robust APIs. This engineer will work closely with data scientists and data engineers to help build reliable data pipelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in CS, EE or equivalent.
- 5+ years of software design and development in distributed system and services APIs, large data processing architecture and knowledge of databases.
- 2+ years of backend experience on large scalable services.
- Experience of Azure or AWS is a huge plus.
