Until it is safe to relocate, the employeemaybeapproved totelework to the maximum extent possible, up to and including full-time.Please note that with regard to the paid relocation there are regulatory time limitations and activities that the selectee once hired as an employee must meet in order to receive reimbursement, and if the employee fails to properly adhere to these time limitations and activities the employee will no longer be entitled to reimbursement for relocations expenses.QualificationsMinimum Education Requirement: Degree: that included 15 semester hours in statistics (or in mathematics and statistics, provided at least 6 semester hours were in statistics), and 9 additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc. Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing.orCombination of education and experience — courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The experience should have included a full range of professional statistical work such as (a) sampling, (b) collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and (c) applying statistical techniques such as measurement of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, sampling error, simple and multiple correlation, analysis of variance, and tests of significance.ANDSpecialized Experience: For the Grade 13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the Grade 12 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes:Experience conducting and researching the following: regression analysis, statistical analysis, modeling, machine learning, data engineering, mathematical programming, Natural Language Processing, auto coding and data visualization to successfully accomplish tasks associated with department and/or organizational goals. Experience applying appropriate concepts and theories in the development of data-focused principles, practices, techniques, tools and solutionsto deliver meaningful outcomes on critical decisions.Experience conducting research and using programming software to analyze big data sets used to develop data driven solutions. Experience having worked across an organization at many levels to increase understanding on best practices for using data to deliver solutions dependent on the audience.Experience having worked with complex or big datasets to develop data driven solutions. Experience having workedin collaborative positions across organizations toincrease overall understanding on how to use data to deliver solutions to streamline operations.Experience developing presentation on technical topics and presenting information to a variety of audiences in a comprehensible manner.Experience attending professional events and networking throughout to gain new understandings of methodologies/tools available to further develop skillset. Experience having lead discovery processes with partners and stakeholders to validate data or analytics requirements and expected outcomes.Education: Can not be substituted at this grade level.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
