Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive AI/ML engineer with strong problem-solving mindset to join our dynamic team at the Digital, Data & Analytics group within Human Health division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and artificial intelligence, including GenAI, with expertise in developing and implementing scalable AI solutions. They should possess a deep understanding of MLOps and have a solid foundation in building and deploying AI/ML solutions. You’ll be working with our partners across the organization to create sustainable and scalable AI/ML products.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, deploy, and maintain cutting-edge GenAI solutions and frameworks to solve business problems and optimize processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into scalable AI/ML solutions.
Implement and maintain MLOps and DevOps best practices to streamline the deployment processes.
Write efficient and maintainable code following best practices in software engineering.
Conduct thorough research and analysis of retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies. Participate in research activities, explore new methodologies, and contribute to the development of innovative GenAI solutions
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, techniques, and advancements in the field of GenAI and related areas.
Collaborate with data engineers to ensure data pipeline efficiency and accuracy.
Continuously iterate and refine retrieval augmented generation (RAG) methods and experiment with different retrieval strategies like information retrieval, nearest-neighbor searches, or knowledge graph-based retrievals, to augment generative AI models.
Continuously monitor and improve the performance and efficiency of GenAI solutions
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including presenting complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manner, and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Utilize data visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner
Independently analyze, proactively identify pain points, and propose solutions to complex problems, guiding the team and senior management towards successful outcomes

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience, or a Master's degree or higher, in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field
Strong foundation in programming languages such as Python and SQL
Able to work with SQL or NoSQL databases to access and analyze data
Assist in the collection, cleaning, and preprocessing of structured and unstructured data from various sources
Familiar in building scalable AI Solutions within a modern technology stack which includes cloud services, data pipelines, database, and other necessary tooling.
Familiarity with CI/CD and test-driven development
Solid foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts (i.e. neural networks, optimization algorithms, evaluation metrics).
Familiarity with data analysis and machine learning libraries (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow)
Familiarity with Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and prompt engineering techniques, reinforcement learning through human feedback, and other fine-tuning strategies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Must be analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred

Knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with building, deploying, and managing docker images.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate’s relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US Salary Range

$101,100.00 - $159,100.00
