Responsibilities
Kforce has a client seeking a Data Scientist on a contract basis in Pittsburgh, PA. The Data Scientist will be tasked with establishing best practices for data management, model validation, and documentation, as well as review real-time data from systems to predict equipment failures, improve yield, and reduce downtime. The Data Scientist will also be responsible for ensuring alignment of data science initiatives with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, and define and implement the data science roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in data science, with at least 3 years in a lead role
- Must have proven expertise in applying data science to manufacturing processes, quality assurance, or supply chain optimization
- Must have working experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala
- Must have hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks
- Must have experience with big data platforms and cloud technologies
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have excellent leadership, communication, and presentation abilities
- Must have excellent communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
