Delta Air Lines, Inc. has multiple openings for Operations Research Data Scientists in Atlanta, Georgia.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide quantitative expertise (data analysis, statistics, forecasting, simulation, and optimization) in the form of models, consulting, and software prototypes.
- Source, clean, interpret, and detect anomalies within data.
- Work on a variety of high-visibility IT projects, either in the form of internal development or in conjunction with external vendors.
- Perform requirement development, design, and testing of decision support systems.
- Actively communicate with the customer (e.g. the partnering business unit) to clearly define needs, report progress, and define an execution plan.
- Telecommuting permitted 2-3 days per week.

What You Need To Succeed (minimum Qualifications)
Master’s degree in Operations Research, Mathematics, Statistics, Transportation Science, Aeronautics or a related field.
- Must have course work or work experience in:
- Conducting Python programming
- Building machine learning models
- Using Microsoft Excel for data visualization
- Demand Forecasting
- Airline revenue management systems and theory.
Airline Experience Is Preferred
