About the Role:
As an
AI Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and refining the AI foundation that powers WerQ AI's platform. This includes architecting and implementing the agentic AI engines, generative models for resume and job matching, and intelligent skill assessments for our gamified learning environment. You'll collaborate with product, data engineering, and infrastructure teams to ensure that AI models are performant, scalable, and ethical—delivering maximum value to our users.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
- AI Architecture & Strategy: Define and own the end-to-end AI strategy, including model selection, data pipelines, and infrastructure
- Model Development: Design and implement NLP, generative AI, and recommendation systems to support resume tailoring, job matching, and skill mastery feedback loops
- Collaboration with Data Teams: Work closely with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to ensure the platform's data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines are robust, secure, and optimized for AI training and inference
- Performance & Scalability: Optimize model performance, latency, and cost, ensuring the platform can handle spikes in user engagement and large-scale data
- AI Governance & Compliance: Incorporate best practices around AI ethics, bias detection, and compliance with data privacy regulations
- R&D Leadership: Stay current with the latest AI research and industry trends to continually evolve WerQ AI's capabilities
- Technical Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation

What You Can Do (Experience & Expertise):
- Architect-Level AI Experience: Hands-on expertise in designing and deploying large-scale AI/ML systems, preferably with NLP or generative models
- Deep Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Python and frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face. Knowledge of MLOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
- Data Pipeline Integration: Strong understanding of data engineering best practices (ETL, data lakes, real-time streaming)
- Model Lifecycle Management: Experience with model versioning, continuous training, automated deployments, and monitoring
- AI Ethics & Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory considerations, bias detection, and fairness in AI
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to break down complex AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Salary
$150,000 - $220,000
