ImpriMed is looking for a
Data Scientist to assist the development of machine learning models that help oncologists fight cancer
AI-driven Personalized Medicine for Cancer Care
Do you want to be part of an innovative precision oncology company that is improving the treatment of cancer using biology and AI? ImpriMed is a dynamic startup launched by two Stanford engineering PhDs to solve a major challenge faced by cancer care providers: the complexity of tumor evolution makes it difficult to find the most effective drug treatments for individual cancer patients. ImpriMed’s precision oncology platform provides a solution to this problem by comprehensively profiling the patient-derived cells and using AI to predict real-world clinical outcomes for different treatment options. Veterinary oncologists across the US are currently using our personalized outcome predictions to identify the most effective anti-cancer drugs for dogs with blood cancers, and we are developing multiple services in human oncology. We just closed $23 million in Series A round ($35 million raised in total) and are seeking a highly motivated, full-time Data Scientist to join our growing company. The position will be based in our headquarters in Mountain View, CA.

● Develop and maintain data analysis pipelines for biological and clinical datasets
● Support the development and deployment of machine learning models
● Support management of the database through mining, curation, and analysis of historical and incoming data
● Perform exploratory analyses to identify and optimize metrics with clinical significance
● Understand biological data modalities and collection in detail and contribute to developing metrics and quality control measures
● Collaborate with the software engineering team to deploy and maintain data analysis pipelines
● Generate publication-quality figures, tables, and documentation
● Attend and present key analysis results at conferences
What you bring:
● Graduate degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Data Science, Bioinformatics, Statistics, or a related field
● Solid foundation in statistical methods
● Understanding of machine learning concepts and experience in model development
● Experience writing stable, publishable code in python
● Familiarity with common data science packages such as scikit-learn, pandas, and scipy
