As an ML Perception Intern, you will contribute to fast prototyping and evaluating advanced agentic-AI solutions for multimodal data processing in robotic perception and scene understanding, focusing on video and image data. This role focuses on integrating open-vocabulary models, vision-language models, and query-based insights You will work on cutting-edge projects, including offline workflows, and drive the development of next-generation AI capabilities.

What You Will Get To Do- Prototype and evaluate agentic-AI solutions for multimodal data focusing on video and scene understanding
- Assist in developing robust pipelines for handling and analyzing large-scale data, including temporal and spatial indexing
- Assist in implementing predictive analytics, integrating real-time alerts and proactive recommendations
- Work with robotics engineers, ML engineers, and AI researchers to improve model integration and performance
- Conduct experiments validating model capabilities
- Document findings and contribute to Field AI’s knowledge base
What You Have- A Master’s or Ph.D. candidate (to be graduating soon) in Computer Science, Robotics, AI, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with VLMs, LLMs, large vision-language models, and agentic AI, indexing techniques for large datasets (e.g., different RAG methods)
- Proficiency in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and advanced computer vision techniques
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
What Will Set You Apart- Experience with multimodal AI systems combining video, language, and metadata
- Familiarity with advanced temporal and spatial modeling techniques
- Knowledge of predictive analytics and reinforcement learning.2+ years of industry experience in deploying and scaling machine learning solutions
- Knowledge of Robot Operating System (ROS).Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS, for building and deploying scalable systems
Compensation
Our salary range is generous, but we take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary; base pay offered may vary considerably depending on degree, skills, and experience.
