Our client, one of the world's largest automotive manufacturers in the world is hiring a Deep Learning Engineer to join their innovation and engineering center in Belmont, CA.
This team is applying deep learning capabilities to the automotive industry by building deep learning and AI modules. As an Engineer on this team, you would integrate the modules you are building, conduct testing, and enhance safety capabilities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in deep learning engineering in the automotive industry.
Role Responsibilities:
Machine Learning Development
- Further and enhance existing machine learning modules for autonomous vehicles.
- Design and implement new machine learning approaches based on existing frameworks.
- Keep up to speed with the state of the art of academic research and technology in the industry.
- Coordinates with engineers on the development of autonomous driving software.
- Develops technical specifications and documentation.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- PhD Strongly Preferred.
- 6+ years of professional engineering experience
- 4+ years’ Deep Learning experience
- Strong knowledge of different machine learning algorithms
- Expertise in computer vision, including object detection, image segmentation, and image recognition
- Proficiency in NLP techniques, including sentiment analysis, text generation, and language understanding models. Experience with multimodal language modeling and applications.
- Deep understanding of various neural network architectures such as CNNs, RNNs, and Transformers.
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning algorithms and their applications in AI.
- Skills in data cleaning, feature engineering, and data augmentation.
- Experience in training, fine-tuning, and optimizing AI models.
- Knowledge of model deployment techniques, including containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
