Why Telos Health?
At Telos Health we are developing novel robotic-assisted technologies and interventional capabilities that will forever change the disparate outcomes of ischemic stroke – a disease that impacts close to a million people a year in the U.S., and 10 million worldwide. Not only is Telos changing the way stroke is treated, but also bringing this treatment to the greater population who is currently without. We are actively building a team who is focused on developing novel solutions for this complex disease – a disease in which one in four adults will face in their lifetime.
What You’ll Do:
In this role, you will work on a variety of computer vision and data-related projects to support our Telos robotic platform. Your focus will be developing and deploying computer vision algorithms, creating synthetic data using simulation environments, and improving data quality through SOTA strategies. This hands-on internship provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a cross-functional team working at the intersection of robotics, healthcare, and cutting-edge ML research. Design, implement and test responsive UI and non-user facing applications that include real time media rendering, complex communication and other components.
- Design, implement, and test machine learning/computer vision algorithms for our robotic platform
- Using simulation environments (e.g., SOFA, or custom in-house simulators) to generate training data for machine learning models
- Optimize data collection, annotation, curation to improve model performance and data quality
- Prototype and evaluate models in both real-world and simulation data, iterating quickly on algorithmic improvements
- Integrate ML pipelines and vision algorithms into production software environment using Python (experience with C++ is a plus)
- Work closely with other engineers (software, controls, system, hardware) as part of a focused cross-functional team developing software for a medical application
