Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Scientist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is passionate about data analysis and has a foundational understanding of statistical methods. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with large datasets, analyze trends, and contribute to impactful projects using various tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing data from various sources.
- Utilize Python for data manipulation and analysis, including libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases.
- Support the development of data models and algorithms to address business challenges.
- Collaborate with team members to visualize data insights using tools like Matplotlib or Seaborn.
- Participate in the transition to Databricks as a platform for data processing and analysis.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data science and analytics.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Python and experience with data analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
- Familiarity with SQL and experience in querying relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the field of data science.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to cloud platforms and big data technologies (e.g., Databricks, Spark) is a plus but not required.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques is a bonus.
