📐 About this role
As the founding API Software Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in developing cutting-edge backend services and API solutions. Harnessing your expertise in Kong Konnect, your API development will be at the forefront of our AI Studio applications. You’ll build APIs from end to end where performance and code quality will be your guiding principles and your contributions will be crucial in shaping the future of our groundbreaking technology in the enterprise generative AI space.
🦸🏻♀️ Your responsibilities
Ensure API performance, security, and reliability through thorough testing, monitoring, and optimization.
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance APIs that support our products and services.
Work with API gateways and manage API deployments, including security, access control, and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
Collaborate with backend engineers, SDK developers and other stakeholders to define API requirements and specifications.
Implement best practices for API design, including versioning, error handling, and documentation.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API performance, availability, and integrations.
⭐ Is This You?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 +years of recent professional experience in API development including designing, building, and testing RESTful APIs
5+ years of experience using Python or Typescript
Strong expertise in Kong Konnect and Terraform
Knowledge of Server Send Event (SSE) Streaming API,API security and rate limiting techniques.
Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g.,Playwright, Postman, Mocha, Newman) for API testing.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
