We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to join our dynamic team in Austin, TX. In this role, you will leverage AI and Machine Learning (ML) techniques to design and implement innovative systems and applications that help organizations optimize operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity. As part of our software consultancy team, you will engage directly with clients to understand their business needs, recommend AI-driven solutions, and build tools that solve real-world challenges. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills to succeed in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models and algorithms tailored to solve complex business problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, researchers, project managers, and client stakeholders, to understand requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
- Build tools, systems, and processes that enable the application of AI to real-world challenges, ensuring scalability and performance.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and preprocess data to create robust training datasets for AI models.
- Train, fine-tune, and optimize machine learning models using state-of-the-art techniques.
- Develop APIs, workflows, and interfaces to integrate AI models into production systems.
- Analyze and interpret AI outputs, providing actionable insights and business recommendations to clients.
- Engage in client-facing discussions to identify opportunities for AI-driven efficiencies, cost reduction, and productivity gains.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML technologies, tools, and frameworks, and integrate best practices into project work.
- Adapt to varying project scopes, timelines, and complexity as part of a consultancy environment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience, with a focus on:
- Data Science, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning applications.
- Building and deploying AI/ML models in production environments.
- Programming languages such as Python, R, or Java.
- Frameworks and libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar.
- Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data visualization.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI/ML workloads.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, statistics, and predictive modeling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be local to the Austin metro area and willing to work onsite in an office environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a software consultancy or client-facing role, managing diverse and evolving project requirements.
- Expertise in natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or other specialized AI fields.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and their integration with AI systems.
- Track record of identifying and implementing AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes.
