Position Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented person to join our internal technology team. In this role, you will leverage your data science expertise and project management skills to support technology-driven initiatives within our electrical contracting operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to extract meaningful insights from data, optimize processes, and manage technology projects that improve our operations and enhance customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities: - Data Analysis & Reporting: Generate insights and reports to support strategic decision-making by analyzing internal data (e.g., project costs, labor performance, equipment utilization, etc.) to uncover trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Predictive Modeling & Forecasting: Use statistical methods and machine learning models to predict project outcomes, resource requirements, and cost optimizations to help improve project planning and budgeting accuracy.
- Project Management: Assist in managing the execution of technology and data-driven projects. Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring successful and timely implementation.
- Technology Integration: Ensure smooth deployment and adoption across teams by supporting the integration of new technologies (e.g., project management software, data visualization tools, automation technologies) to enhance the company’s operational efficiency.
- Process Improvement: Identify and propose improvements to existing workflows, leveraging data analysis and technological solutions to streamline operations and increase productivity.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with field operations, finance, project managers, and other departments to ensure data-driven solutions align with business needs and improve project outcomes.
- Data Visualization & Reporting Tools: Develop dashboards, visualizations, and reports to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership and stakeholders; ensure data is presented in a clear and actionable format.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Help maintain data integrity and quality across different internal systems to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data used for analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in data science, data analysis, or technology project management, preferably in the construction, engineering, or electrical contracting industry.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Excel). Experience with machine learning frameworks is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, a must.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- A keen interest in technology solutions and process optimization within the construction or electrical contracting industry.
- Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) or project management software used in the construction or contracting industry.

Annual Salary Range: $65K – $85K
