About The Team & Role
The AI Team at Auger is at the forefront of reshaping how machine learning and artificial intelligence impact global supply chains. By leveraging state-of-the-art algorithms and vast datasets, we create systems that not only solve today’s supply chain challenges but also predict and prevent tomorrow’s disruptions. Our mission is to deploy scalable, intelligent, and actionable ML solutions that deliver efficiency, sustainability, and value to businesses worldwide.
If you are an innovative software engineer with a passion for building cutting-edge machine learning solutions and deploying them at scale, we want you on our team. You will play a pivotal role in architecting Auger’s AI-driven systems, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and impactful. Whether it’s working on real-time predictive analytics, fine-tuning models for optimization, or building AI tools that revolutionize decision-making, your work will be at the core of transforming the supply chain industry.
In this role, you will take hands-on ownership in the following areas:
- Implementing infrastructure systems for real-time model inference and monitoring in production environments.
- Supporting the design and development of scalable machine learning models for large-scale supply chain optimization and predictive analytics.
- Innovating with cutting-edge techniques in NLP, computer vision, and time-series modeling to extract actionable insights from diverse, multi-modal datasets.
- Building end-to-end pipelines to train, validate, and deploy machine learning models using modern frameworks and cloud services.
- Developing tools to evaluate and monitor model performance, fairness, and explainability across different applications.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in designing, building, and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
- Familiarity with MLOps practices such as MLflow including CI/CD pipelines for ML, model versioning, and automated retraining workflows.
- Proven experience with cloud-based ML workflows, particularly in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong foundation in machine learning algorithms, statistical methods, and optimization techniques.
- Experience with real-time data processing and streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Spark Streaming).
- Ability to work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum environment, balancing innovation with rapid iteration.
- Comfortable working in-person at our Bellevue Headquarters.
Bonus Points & Other Considerations
- Experience with supply chain, forecasting, or geospatial data applications.
- Hands-on experience with foundational models, such as large language models (LLMs) or transformer-based architectures.
- Experience in Python and at least one major ML framework (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc.).
- Knowledge of reinforcement learning, generative models, or unsupervised learning approaches.
- Strong “data intuition” combined with a deep understanding of explainability and fairness in AI systems.
- Resilient, driven, and confident, with a passion for tackling complex and impactful challenges.
