Protogon Research builds AI models with a deep understanding of the world, and monetizes them through proprietary trading. Our long-term goal is to build superintelligence, which we believe will be the most transformative invention of the 21st century.

We are a small, lean team of 5 based in Menlo Park, CA, and we're looking for a highly talented and capable
Head of AI to join us.
We find working in-person leads to the most fun, engaging, and creative work, and so this role is in-person at our office in Menlo Park.
Your key responsibilities:
- Scale our AI team. Interviewing and hire BE & ML engineers, integrate them into the team, and set the culture & pace.
- Lead AI Development. Partner with the CEO to set the strategy for our AI team & manage our AI team's day-to-day execution.
