ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop machine learning and AI algorithms to solve supply chain optimization problems, such as demand forecasting, inventory management, route optimization, and predictive maintenance.
- Train and fine-tune AI models.
- Deploy AI models into production environments, working closely with DevOps and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement monitoring and logging systems to track model performance, detect anomalies, and make continuous improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and domain experts, to understand business requirements and translate them into AI solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and apply cutting-edge techniques to address supply chain challenges.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of AI models, code, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and reproducibility.
- Continuously refine and optimize architectural strategies based on feedback and lessons learned.
- Stay relevant with emerging technologies and trends that have the potential to impact our industry.

EDUCATION & RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 2+ years of professional experience in all of the following:
- AI Engineer at a startup or high-growth technology company (preferably with knowledge of the concepts and challenges presented in the supply chain and/or warehousing industry).
- Python programming and familiarity with AI libraries and frameworks.
- Developing and deploying machine learning and AI.
- SQL experience in creating, updating, and retrieving data, data preprocessing, feature engineering, integrations, analysis, testing, and decision support.
- Strong knowledge of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Prefect, etc. is a plus.
- Experience with Reinforcement Learning and other model-free techniques is a plus.
- Leadership abilities to provide strategic guidance and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically, analyze complex problems, and make informed decisions to drive Ox's technology strategy.

- Managing and manipulating relational databases.
- Ability to collect, preprocess, and clean large datasets from various sources, ensuring data quality and reliability for training and testing AI models.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including executives, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- A passion for continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
- Active involvement in professional networks, industry events, and communities.
- Experience with Google/GCP and Mac environments are beneficial.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to be covered under the Ox's insurance policy are required.
