Responsibilities:
- Develop software and machine learning models to enhance the performance and efficiency of our vision systems.
- Conduct research and develop cutting-edge solutions, technologies, and algorithms in computer vision and machine learning as part of the Perception Team.
- Prototype advanced software technologies in areas like robotics, quality detection, auto-calibration, machine perception, and deep learning.
- Analyze, optimize, and improve the performance, accuracy, and robustness of currently deployed solutions.
- Code in Python and C++ using libraries like TensorFlow and PyTorch to develop and deploy computer vision models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate inspection systems into robotic automation solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or Computer Vision (Master’s degree preferred).
- Solid understanding of linear algebra, probabilistic theory, numerical optimization, and deep learning, with hands-on implementation experience.
- Expertise in applied computer vision, including domains like 3D Object Detection, Semantic Segmentation, Depth Estimation, or Computational Geometry.
- Experience with machine learning (especially deep learning), numerical optimization, and data pipelines within frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
- Proven ability to prototype and optimize algorithms rapidly.
- Proficiency in C++; Python experience is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with relevant machine learning techniques and libraries.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex research clearly.
- Demonstrated software engineering experience through internships, projects, coding competitions, open-source contributions, or research.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
