COMPENSATION: Commensurate based on experience.
SUMMARY: Responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing innovative AI/ML solutions to address complex business challenges while collaborating with designers, project/product managers, and other stakeholders.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement machine learning and AI models, algorithms, and solutions to address business challenges.
- Optimize implemented tools for scalability, efficiency, and robustness to ensure smooth integration with existing systems and infrastructure.
- Perform data analysis, data preprocessing, and feature engineering to prepare data for model training and evaluation. Includes both SQL data and image data.
- Evaluate model performance and accuracy using relevant metrics and validation techniques, addressing any issues or updating them as needed.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancements in AI/ML development and deployment.
- Conduct research to stay updated with the latest AI/ML technologies and contribute to organizational innovation.
- Convert business requirements to system design.
- High attention to detail is required.
- Development of multi-agent systems for search and recommendation engines using AI/ML technologies such as LLMs, NLP, RAG, etc.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Math, or related) preferred
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or Computer Science) is preferred but not required
- Relevant certifications from learning platforms such as Coursera, edX, Udemy, or others a plus
- 2+ years of experience developing AI/ML projects and measuring the outcomes
- 2+ years of experience with Machine learning frameworks, particularly TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Python, NLP, etc.
- 2+ years of experience with VS Code (Strong software development skills, including code refactoring, monitoring training jobs, and debugging).
- Experience in computer vision (image recognition) and large language models (GPT) preferred
- Experience with technologies such as Azure, Nvidia, GitHub, Elastic, etc.
- Experience in ML / GenAI tools and patterns, including LLM, RAG, MLOps, and NLP
- Experience using different models (OpenAI, ChatGPT, Llama, LangChain, TensorFlow, etc.) and understanding applicability to purpose/use.
- Strong problem skills to address technical challenges in AI model training and data processing
- Good communication skills to articulate technical details and project requirements clearly
- Experience in building RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) solutions using Elastic
- Expertise in index design and lifecycle management, optimization of document ingestion, and the development of Elasticsearch queries
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, primarily Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft SQL.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Individuals must be team-quality players in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must work in an environment with 50% development and 50% production support.
