Position Overview
We're seeking a Graduate Student Data Scientist as a paid Intern to join our team in developing cutting-edge AI vision systems. This is a part-time hybrid position working directly with our engineering team and CTO to drive technical innovation and mentor junior engineers.
What You'll Do
- Learn and apply modern computer vision techniques through hands-on development of AI vision systems
- Assist senior researchers in designing and conducting experiments to advance our vision capabilities
- Implement and test vision models using Python and popular deep learning frameworks
- Participate in data collection, preprocessing, and validation of vision systems
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing MS/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
- Strong Python programming skills
- Understanding of machine learning fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of computer vision concepts and deep learning
- Ability to work between 20-25 hours per week
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow
Nice to Have
- Experience with Python, Tensorflow and Pytorch
- Experience with Numpy, Pandas and Scikit
- Familiarity with Linux
- Previous coursework in software development or testing
