Company Description
The Wonderful Company is committed to offering high-quality, healthy, and iconic brands such as Wonderful Pistachios, Wonderful Halos, FIJI Water, and POM Wonderful. We’re looking to make the world a healthier place through an uncompromising commitment to the well-being of our employees and their families. We foster a collaborative workforce that encourages an entrepreneurial spirit and openness to change.
Our Global Sourcing Analytics team is expanding with a new
Junior Data Scientist position! This role will be vital in our team’s efforts to identify project opportunities, support cross-team collaboration, and increase the collective impact of Wonderful’s procurement teams. This is a great opportunity to develop your skills under the guidance of our Senior Data Scientist.
You will apply your analytical acumen to projects addressing immediate needs and building long-term capabilities for the team. The short-term projects are more classic “business analyses” that answer specific questions with insights synthesized from multiple sources. Our data science projects are different -- they span months and require a strategic and process-oriented mindset and much deeper technical knowledge. Reporting projects bridge these extremes and they require a deep understanding of the stakeholders’ needs and the intricacies of our systems/data. To succeed, you will need robust analytical capabilities, strong problem-solving skills, and a collaborative mindset. To thrive, you must be creative and curious, with an unwavering appetite to learn, improve, and make an impact.
The Junior Data Scientist will be based at our West Los Angeles, CA office. We work a hybrid schedule with an in-office requirement Monday-Wednesday and the option to work remotely on Thursday and Friday.
