Job Title: Data Scientist

Position Overview
As a Data Scientist, you will work directly with clients, managers, and technical staff to understand business needs, develop technical plans, and deliver data-driven analytical solutions that solve client problems. You will primarily create and deploy predictive models from a wide variety of data sources and types using the latest mathematical and statistical methods and other emerging technologies. Additionally, the successful candidate will develop and modify reports and dashboards, provide connections to new and existing data sources, and prepare data for use in Tableau. The role may also coordinate releases of data and workbooks, as well as perform complex technical tasks such as integration with R.

Required Skills / Experience
- Minimum of four (4) years of hands-on experience in task areas assigned, and familiarity with Data Science technologies, standards and methodologies
- Must have of Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. MASTER's STRONGLY DESIRED
- Minimum of two (2) years serving in a data scientist role applying subject matter knowledge directly related to data analytics, data modeling, visualization, and application development. Additionally, a Data Scientist shall have the ability to resolve problems, which necessitates an intimate knowledge of the related technical subject matter.
- 4 years’ experience using Tableau, including creating complex calculations, parameters, and dashboard actions
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
- Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization software is a plus
- Strong customer service skills and team building skills, and the ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team.
- Ability to research and resolve problems efficiently and accurately with knowledge and experience of IT assessments and audits.
- Performs detail-oriented task independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience providing project briefs to senior executives.
- Be comfortable using technical tools to support activities in data modeling and development of modern methods and best practices to answer a variety of data and audit issues.
- Be able to advise users on access to various client/server databases.
- Have strength in collaboration and teamwork within, between, and across organizational boundaries, including experience engaging with management, colleagues, data architects and end-users to define need and business requirements for a project.
- Have knowledge and skills in obtaining information from others and applying analytical techniques to analyze, evaluate, recommend, and implement sound and effective solutions to problems.
- Possess proficient communication skills including the ability to explain technical content to non-technical audiences, conduct interviews, develop and present issues, and draft written reports of findings and recommendations to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of program administration and operations.
- Be able to work independently to develop and recommend solutions for a wide range of issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Customer operations and programs.
- Have demonstrated strength in consistently achieving goals and objectives, including pushing to achieve stretch goals and continuous learning.
- Be comfortable using technical tools to support activities in data modeling and development of modern methods and best practices to answer a variety of data and audit issues.
